I don't know what it is about Jack and boxes. Quite simply, he loves them.
I tried to get a photo when I first saw all three pets assembled peaceably. Ballou was looking very regal (and territorial) stretched out on Jack's scratching mat. The mat is trimmed in a royal purple kitty pattern and it has yellow tassels on the corners.
Holly was passed out with her head on the box. She was using it as a pillow.
God only knows what Jack was up to.
They give me such a good feeling. I love their unique personalities.
Here's Jack wearing the bag that the box came in. First, he got his head through the handle and looked a little like Superman in his cape. Then Jack imagined that big blue monster was chasing him, he took off at a fast clip and managed to work the bag down around his ample tummy. Safe at last!

Jack LaLane Kane Aims to Get Muscle Bound

This morning, Jack discovered how to open the cabinet where the good china is stored. I added the rubber bands to keep him from opening them. Jack decided to use them for his stretching exercise.
When Jack really gets going, he's nothing but a blur. His vet describes him as "squirmy." I'll say!

Jack seemed to need a "mother figure." Holly wanted nothing to do with him at first, but Jack was persistent and Holly has now accepted him. They often sleep together with Jack curled up next to Holly's stomach.

Jack is fond of anything that rolls. Here he is playing with a bowl of cherries. He bites the stem, pulls the cherry out of the bowl, then bats it around the table. If it falls on the floor, he attacks it with vigor.

We adopted Jack (who was a stray) almost 3 months ago. He's about 12 months old and is brave about most things. My husband calls him "Action Jackson."
Jack is terrified of thunder, however. Luckily, there's a spot where only he can fit. Here's where I found him yesterday in the middle of a very loud storm..
