Listening to George Harrison (c/o Joshua) preparing yet another entry
to my world famous blog so that I can share my life with you.
Yesterday I graciously requested to go on a little field trip to a
couple of furniture workshops, and was pleasantly surprised when my
office manager, Jerry, gave the OK. Insisting that it would be
good for me to learn more about the industry, I was delighted with his
enthusiasm. By 2:30 Caroline and Josh arrived in a cab that
unlike their first one, was not on fire, and we made our way a systems
furniture showroom, and then out to Hongqiao to the Antique warehouses
and worshops. It's beautiful there.

A view of the warehouse where the antiques are kept. They usually
aren't in very good condition making them mostly affordable.
They'll re-finish, and retro-fit furniture for modern use according to
your heart's desire.

I could spend all day there.

A lot of my pictures are blurry because I didn't want to use the flash which washed out some of the color.

Dragons and birds. Man and woman. Long y Feng Huang

I'm not sure what to call this thing, but for all the transportation
designers- this is how your bride to be should arrive on your wedding
day. Traditionally, it would be held by 8 people with long poles and
the bride would ride safely and comfortably inside.

For baby to play in.

A really awesome round chair.

Carolines new commode.

A bed, birds, lounge, and scooter.

I have a very big window in my bathroom that is on an interior wall, so
it doesn't face the exterior. When I moved here, I started a
collage with all the goodness sent to me from abroad It's growing
on both the kitchen side and bathroom side, and layer,
upon layer it reminds me of all the love that we share.

Joshua sent me marmalade that is so delicious that i sat at my desk
today eating it like pudding. To the right, thats my bedazzled
cell phone...care of Yvonne..who knows I can't live without a little (
or a lot) of sparkle. Good friends know that kind of stuff.
