Ok Here's the deal. Joshua, you know who, is working on changing the
world. You see, my feelings beg to suggest that his work illustrates the
fine lines between everything. That's right. Everything. Let’s
start with the associations you have with teddy bears and art. A Teddy bear is just a freakish, cheap,
chemical laden, dust mite collecting lump of polyester fill, right? Art is thoughtful, and thought provoking. The happy
monsters that he’s been developing beacon the intellect to consider the fine line
between art and fluff. As much as I am one
of Joshua’s harshest critics I am also his greatest supporter. His work is delicious,
intellectual, and ridiculous. The following
images are a few of the great things that he has been working on, along with a once
in a lifetime shot of me in one of his costumes from Pratt Institute where our relationship
took hold. I just wanted to include this
as a reminder to myself of how talented he is, and to take a second to let his
ego puff, while I also share with my friends the work of a world renowned
genius.
A monster skin rug
Caroline's Creature
Looks a lot like our Chihuahua Sophia.
Also has Sophia qualities. I think these ones also have
assholes. Ehem, anus. Look at his website for more details.
ALso Sophia like with Moose details. She was clearly his muse.
Joshua as a bunny rabbit, and Kristin as world conquerer.
Now that I dont live in NY, its hard for me to tell you all of the
details behind this. There was an opening for ( Coroflot?) Why
cant I remember. The servers wore masks designed by the one and
only J. B. LOngo
Very City of Lost Children if you ask me....I mean, minus the rust...anyway....vvery cartoon version of City of Lost Children.
I miss NY.
